Is a private security professional and has wide ranging experience in security operations management. He has almost twenty (20) years of experience in the private security services sector; for fifteen (15) years he served as the Head of Operations for a prime security company in the country.
Enlisted into the Ghana Armed Forces in 1969, commissioned in 1971 and rose to the rank of Colonel. He was the Director of Supplies and Transport until his retirement in 2004, after 35 years of distinguished service to the Republic of Ghana. His commitment to duty and excellent performance led to several appointments within the Ghana Armed Forces and also internationally. He has a wide range of experience in security operations. Since he joined Skones in 2009, he has been responsible for recruitment, training of guards, species deployment/monitoring of performance of security personnel, logistics planning and coordination and quality assurance. His wealth of experience and expertise is a worthy asset.
He served in the Ghana Airforce as aircraft technician, Mechanical engineering ground with 27 years of experience, was the Supervisor of the technical training school, held position in UN Operations including Operations warrant officer. He established the security department of the National health insurance Authority and held the positions of Security Manager. He worked as the Security Coordinator for MSF Construction Company, contractor of the N1 highway. He was also the Deputy Director of Aviation Security, Ghana Airports Company and a Security Management expert. An entrepreneur and Crisis Management and Safety trainer.
As a Chartered Accountant. He has over fifteen (15) years experience in accounting practice, auditing and general finance related matters. He has worked with leading accounting and auditing firms in Ghana as well as some multi-nationals such as MINPROC of South Africa during its operations in Ghana.
Is an expert in Cash Management Services with over forty (40) years’ experience. He joined Skones Security Ltd. in 2016 as the Head of the CIT Department. Prior to that, he provided consultancy services in Cash Management for Gocrest Security and other non-bank financial companies from 2008 – 2016. He worked with the GCB Bank Ltd. from 1968 to 2008. During the period, he served in various capacities namely: Chief Cashier at GCB Head Office, Accra (2003 – 2008); Deputy Chief Cashier at GCB Head Office, Accra (2000 – 2003); Chief Cashier at GCB High Street, Accra (1997 – 2000); Chief Cashier at GCB Head Office, Accra (1984 – 1997). Other positions held whilst with GCB Bank include Head of International and Local Transfer Branch Returns (Suhum Branch); Officer-in-Charge, Savings and Current Accounts Abstracts (Suhum Branch). He originally trained as a professional teacher.
He is a retired military officer with thirty-three (33) years’ service with the Ghana Armed Forces. He served in various capacities in the military and also functioned severally in security and administrative related appointments. Some of the positions he held were General staff officer Grade 1 at the Army Combat Training School, Teshie, Chief Coordinator, Kofi Annan International Peace keeping Training Centre, Teshie and Commanding Officer, Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Teshie.
